Description

This presentation introduces the core principles of play therapy and explores how children express themselves, build relationships, and process experiences through play. Geared toward therapists working with children, teens, and families, this session offers practical interventions that harness the language of play to support emotional regulation, strengthen connection, and deepen therapeutic engagement. Participants will leave with a variety of creative tools they can immediately apply in their clinical work.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this presentation, attendees will be able to:

  1. Explain play therapy and its significance in child development.
  2. Demonstrate 2 assessment techniques to use with children.
  3. Demonstrate at least one play therapy intervention that can be used with younger children, teens and families in the play therapy session.
